Spacebar Clicker v2: Now an Upgrade Game
Spacebar Clicker is now an incremental game: press space, buy upgrades and auto-pressers, and race to a million. The old speed test has moved to the Spacebar Counter.
Spacebar Clicker is now an incremental game. Press Space, earn points, and spend them in a keyboard workshop on upgrades and machines. Here is what changed in v2.
What's new in v2
- The Workshop. Thirteen upgrades. Some raise the points you earn per press, others are machines that press for you every second.
- Rising prices. Every copy of an upgrade costs 15% more than the last, so the order you buy in matters.
- Buy x1, x10 or Max to spend in bulk once the numbers get big.
- Milestones. Each one lights a bulb, changes the keycap and adds 5% to everything you earn.
- Points per second readout, key animations, sparks and sound.
- Autosave. Your progress is saved in your browser and restored when you reload. Reset Progress is in the settings menu.
- Million Run leaderboard. From a fresh start, how fast can you reach 1,000,000 points? Fastest time ranks first, and you can keep playing after you get there.
Where did the speed test go?
The timed press counter has its own page now: the Spacebar Counter. It works exactly as before, with 5, 10, 30 and 60 second tests, an endless counter mode, presses per second and average hold time.
