Plain-English summary: Free to play. Don't try to break the site, don't post anything illegal or hateful as your leaderboard name, don't try to fake high scores, don't redistribute our games without permission. The site comes as-is. If you're under 13, get a parent or guardian's OK before you submit a leaderboard name.
1. Acceptance
By accessing or using funclicker.com ("the site") you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the site. We may update these Terms from time to time and the "Last updated" date above will reflect the most recent revision. Continued use after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
2. Eligibility and age
The site is open to general audiences. Some content (the horror genre in particular) may not be suitable for all ages; parents and guardians are responsible for deciding what is appropriate for a particular child. If you are under the age of 13 you may use the site but should obtain a parent's or guardian's permission before submitting any information, including a leaderboard display name. 3. Free use, no account
All games are free to play in your browser. We do not require an account, an email address, or payment of any kind to access any content on the site. Optional features — leaderboard score submission, ratings, daily challenge attempts — are also free.
4. Acceptable use
You agree to use the site responsibly. Specifically, you agree NOT to:
- submit a leaderboard display name that is obscene, hateful, harassing, threatening, sexually explicit, defamatory, promotes self-harm, doxxes another person, or otherwise violates applicable law;
- submit fake, automated, or otherwise tampered scores; manipulate ratings; or use bots, scrapers, or scripts to interact with the site outside of the games themselves;
- attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the site, the underlying server, or other users' data;
- interfere with the operation of the site (denial-of-service attempts, exploiting vulnerabilities, rate-limit evasion, etc.);
- scrape, reproduce, mirror, or redistribute the site's content (including its written articles and original games) without our written permission;
- frame, embed, or otherwise re-host the games on third-party sites without using the official embed mechanisms we may provide;
- use the site in any way that would violate the rights of any third party, including intellectual-property and privacy rights.
We reserve the right to remove any user-submitted content — including leaderboard entries — that we judge to violate these Terms, and to restrict access from any IP address engaged in abusive behaviour.
5. Leaderboard handles
Leaderboards use auto-generated handles in the format AdjectiveNoun_NNN (for example BraveTiger_421). Your browser generates the handle locally on first score submission and stores it in your browser. You do not type a name. This is a deliberate design choice to comply with the FTC's amended COPPA Rule: a user-chosen display name on a child-directed site qualifies as personal information, and we don't want to collect it.
You can regenerate your handle at any time by clearing your browser data or by using the regenerate option on the leaderboard. We may remove or anonymise any leaderboard entry at our discretion, and we will action verified parental requests to remove an entry submitted from a device used by a child within 30 days — see the Privacy Policy for the request process.
Beyond leaderboard handles, the only other content visitors submit is the contact form (covered by the Privacy Policy).
6. Our content and intellectual property
All site design, original written content, and games created by or for FunClicker.com are the intellectual property of FunClicker.com unless otherwise stated. Games licensed from or created by third parties remain the intellectual property of their original creators and are clearly credited on the relevant game page (typically near the meta table — for example, the Scratch original of Fun Clicker is credited to Voidder with a link to the creator's profile). Use of any FunClicker.com original content for purposes other than playing in your browser requires our prior written consent.
The "FunClicker" name and the green-smiley mark are used as the site's branding. Please do not use them in a way that suggests endorsement or affiliation without permission.
7. Third-party games and credits
Where a game on the site was originally created by an external developer (e.g. a Scratch project), we credit the original developer on the game's page, link back to their original source, and rely on the original developer having shared the game under terms that permit embedding. If you are the creator of a game we host and you would like the listing adjusted or removed, please contact us via the contact form and we will action verified takedown requests promptly.
8. Advertising
The site is supported by display advertising provided by third-party ad networks. Advertisements are clearly labelled "Advertisement" above each ad slot. We do not endorse the products or services shown in advertisements and we are not responsible for transactions arising from ad clicks. Because the site is treated as child-directed, advertising on the site uses non-personalised targeting by default — see the Privacy Policy.
9. Leaderboards and fair play
Leaderboards are intended for genuine human scores. We reserve the right to remove scores that appear to have been submitted via automation, exploitation of game bugs, modification of game code, or any other means that fall outside the intended gameplay loop. We may at our discretion reset a leaderboard if abuse becomes systemic. There is no guarantee that any leaderboard entry will be retained indefinitely.
10. Availability and changes
We make reasonable efforts to keep the site available but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may add, remove, suspend, or change any feature or any game at any time without prior notice. Saved data that lives only in your browser (favourites, recently-played) may be cleared by you, by your browser, or by site changes; we are not responsible for the loss of locally-stored data.
11. Disclaimers and content warnings
The site and all content on it are provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the site will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses or other harmful components. You use the site at your own risk.
Horror content warning. Several games on the site are explicitly horror-themed and contain mild horror content including sudden visual effects, jumpscares, uncanny imagery, distorted audio, and gradual tonal shifts from cheerful to unsettling. The headline title "Fun Clicker" is the clearest example. These games are not suitable for very young children and parents and guardians should review the game pages before letting younger players try them. Each game's page describes what to expect before the first run. Player discretion is advised.
12. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, FunClicker.com, its operator and its affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages arising out of or relating to your use of (or inability to use) the site, even if advised of the possibility of such damages. Our total cumulative liability arising out of or relating to the site shall not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid us to access the site in the past twelve months, which for a free site is zero, or (b) one hundred US dollars (USD $100).
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded by law.
13. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless FunClicker.com, its operator and its affiliates from any claim or demand, including reasonable legal fees, made by a third party arising out of your breach of these Terms, your misuse of the site, or your violation of any law or third-party right.
14. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to the site at any time without notice if we believe you have violated these Terms. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, indemnity, governing law) will continue to apply.
15. Governing law and disputes
FunClicker.com is a US-based business. These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware and the federal laws of the United States, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. Any dispute arising from or relating to these Terms or your use of the site shall be resolved through good-faith negotiation first; if not resolved, exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Delaware, USA. You waive any objection to the jurisdiction and venue of those courts.
Nothing in this section prevents you from raising a complaint with your local consumer-protection authority or data-protection authority where you have such rights under applicable law (for example, the California Attorney General, the FTC, or — for visitors from the EU/UK — your national supervisory authority).
16. Severability and entire agreement
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in full force. These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and us regarding the site, and supersede any prior agreements.
