About Click Speed Test
Click Speed Test measures how many times you can click in a set amount of time. Pick a duration — anywhere from 1 second to 100 seconds — then click the pad as fast as you can. The timer starts on your first click, so no time is wasted on reaction lag. When the clock runs out you get your CPS (clicks per second), your total clicks, and a rank.
It's the same test Minecraft PvP players, osu! mappers, and idle-game grinders use to measure raw clicking speed — free, instant, no signup. Your best CPS saves separately for each duration so you can chase a 5-second sprint record and a 60-second endurance record at the same time.
How to Play
- Choose your test length: 1, 2, 5, 10, 15, 30, 60 or 100 seconds.
- Hit Tap to Start, then click (or tap) the pad. Your first click starts the timer.
- Keep clicking as fast as you can until time runs out. Live CPS shows your current rate.
- At the end you get your average CPS, total clicks and a rank. Beat your best.
What's a Good CPS?
The average person clicks around 3–6 times per second with normal "regular" clicking. Specialized techniques push it much higher. A rough guide for a 5–10 second test:
| CPS | Rank | Meaning |
|---|---|---|
| Under 3 | Warming Up | Casual single-finger clicking. |
| 3–5 | Average | Where most people land with normal clicking. |
| 5–7 | Fast | Solid. You're clicking with intent. |
| 7–9 | Elite | Jitter or butterfly technique territory. |
| 9–12 | Inhuman | Trained butterfly clicking or drag clicking. |
| Over 12 | Autoclicker? | Sustained rates this high usually aren't human. |
Clicking Techniques to Raise Your CPS
- Regular clicking — one finger, normal presses. Caps out around 6–7 CPS for most people. Reliable for long tests.
- Jitter clicking — tense your arm and let it vibrate so the finger taps rapidly. Can reach 10–14 CPS in short bursts, but it's hard on the wrist and tough to sustain.
- Butterfly clicking — alternate two fingers on the same mouse button. Doubles your effective rate; commonly 12+ CPS. Best for medium tests.
- Drag clicking — drag a finger across the button so friction registers many clicks at once. Can spike huge numbers but needs a specific mouse and grippy surface.
- Short bursts win sprints; pace wins marathons. On a 1–5 second test go all-out. On a 60 or 100 second test, find a rhythm you can hold without cramping.
How Does It Compare to Other Click Tests?
The classic Kohi click test is a fixed 10-second CPS test popularized by a Minecraft server. Spacebar CPS swaps the mouse for the keyboard. Reaction Time Test measures the delay before a single click rather than sustained speed. Click Speed Test on FunClicker covers the whole range in one tool — pick any duration from a 1-second sprint to a 100-second endurance grind, with separate best scores for each.
FAQ
How does Click Speed Test work?
You pick a duration, then click a pad as fast as you can. The timer starts on your first click so no time is wasted, and runs until the duration is up. Your score is CPS — total clicks divided by seconds.
Is Click Speed Test free?
Yes, completely free. No signup, no payment, plays in any modern browser on desktop or mobile. Your best CPS saves to your browser automatically for each duration.
What's a good CPS score?
Around 6–7 CPS is good with normal clicking. Jitter and butterfly clicking techniques can push trained players past 10 CPS. Sustained rates above 12 CPS usually indicate an autoclicker rather than a human.
What is jitter clicking?
Jitter clicking is tensing your arm muscles so your hand vibrates, letting your finger tap the mouse button very rapidly. It can reach 10–14 CPS in short bursts but is hard to control and tiring to sustain.
What is butterfly clicking?
Butterfly clicking alternates two fingers on the same mouse button, roughly doubling your click rate. Many players hit 12+ CPS this way. It is gentler on the wrist than jitter clicking and easier to sustain.
Which duration should I pick?
Use a 1–5 second test to measure your top burst speed, a 10-second test (the classic Kohi length) for a standard benchmark, or 60–100 seconds to measure endurance and consistency. Your best score saves separately for each.
Does it work on mobile and touchscreens?
Yes. Tap the pad with one or more fingers. Touchscreens register taps slightly differently than a mouse, so your phone and desktop best scores are tracked separately.
Is Click Speed Test unblocked at school?
Yes. It runs entirely in your browser with no plugins or downloads. It plays on school Chromebooks, work computers and any device with a modern browser.
