About RequestP

RequestP is a short first-person horror game about a hallway full of doors and one very strict set of rules. Your goal is to reach the door marked 0. To get there, you have to open every door along the way, except the ones where you hear knocking. And whatever else happens, you must not let anything touch you.

It looks like footage from a lost PlayStation-era tape, with low-poly models and analog distortion, and it plays like a test of nerve. The controls are pared back to almost nothing: you turn to look in four directions and press one key to step forward or open a door. Everything else depends on your ears. Knocking tells you which doors to leave shut, and the silence while you wait for it is where the tension lives.

The developer puts a run at around 10 to 15 minutes and credits Doors on Roblox and Five Nights at Freddy's 4 as inspirations. It is a compact, rules-driven sound-based horror game that is easy to learn and hard to keep your cool in. You can play RequestP online here for free.

How to Play RequestP

  • Press W or the Up arrow to look forward, and S or the Down arrow to look behind you.
  • Press A or the Left arrow and D or the Right arrow to look left and right.
  • Press Space to take a step forward and to open doors.
  • Stop at each door and listen. If you hear knocking, do not open it.
  • Open every door that stays silent and keep moving toward door 0.
  • Keep checking behind you. The mannequin starts moving if you leave it unwatched for too long.

What Makes RequestP Scary

RequestP turns listening into a survival skill. The knocking you rely on does not always come right away; it can start a second or two after you reach a door, so every pause feels like a gamble between patience and panic. Open too soon and you might let something in. Wait too long and the figure behind you may get closer.

That figure is a mannequin, and it only stays put while you are looking at it. Turn away for too long and it starts to move, which means your attention is always split between the doors ahead and the thing at your back. Combined with the grainy analog look and the rule that nothing may touch you, it creates a tight, claustrophobic kind of fear that suits short, intense sessions.

Tips for RequestP

  • Wear headphones. The creator says they are required, and the whole game is built around sound.
  • Give each door a second or two before deciding. Knocking can be delayed.
  • If Space does nothing at a door, it may simply be locked. That is normal, so move on.
  • Glance behind you regularly to keep the mannequin frozen in place.
  • Finish the game to understand its name. The creator says the meaning of RequestP only becomes clear at the end.

Who Made RequestP

RequestP was created by Disvent and released on itch.io for the browser, Windows, and Linux. The developer describes it as friendly to streamers and video creators, with no copyrighted content, and lists Doors on Roblox and Five Nights at Freddy's 4 among its influences. FunClicker embeds Disvent's own browser build, unmodified. Find more of their work on Disvent's itch.io page.

FAQ

Is RequestP free?

Yes. RequestP is free to play in your browser on this page, with no account, no download, and nothing to buy inside the game. Disvent also lists Windows and Linux versions on itch.io, but the browser build here is all you need. Put on headphones, press play, and start listening at the first door.

Is RequestP scary?

Yes, in a tense and focused way. RequestP traps you in a dark hallway where you must decide which doors to open by listening for knocking, while a mannequin creeps closer whenever you stop watching it. The grainy analog visuals and the constant pressure of split attention make it nerve-racking, even though a run is short.

How long is RequestP?

RequestP takes about 10 to 15 minutes on average, according to its developer. Mistakes can send you back, so your first attempt may take longer while you learn how the knocking and the mannequin behave. It is short enough for a single session, and finishing it is the only way to learn what the name means.

Who made RequestP?

RequestP was made by Disvent, an independent developer who released it on itch.io for the browser, Windows, and Linux. The developer cites Doors on Roblox and Five Nights at Freddy's 4 as inspirations. FunClicker did not create the game; we embed Disvent's own browser build with credit and a link to their itch.io page.

Can I play RequestP on mobile or a Chromebook?

A Chromebook with a keyboard works well, since RequestP uses only W, A, S, D or the arrow keys plus Space. Phones and tablets are not a good fit, because the game needs those keys and no touch controls are mentioned. You will also want headphones, as the creator says they are required to hear the knocking properly.

Is RequestP unblocked at school?

It runs in a standard browser tab with no download, plugin, or login, so nothing on our side stands in the way. Whether RequestP opens on a school or library network depends on that network's filter, which we cannot control. It is a sound-based horror game, so you will need headphones to play it properly.

Does RequestP have jump scares?

Expect some tense, startling moments. Opening the wrong door has consequences, and the mannequin that moves when you are not watching keeps you on edge. Most of the fear in RequestP comes from anticipation, listening closely and waiting for a knock that may or may not come, but it is wise to keep your volume at a comfortable level.

What does the name RequestP mean?

The developer keeps that a secret on purpose. According to Disvent, you have to complete RequestP to understand what its name means. That makes reaching door 0 more than just an escape, since the answer is waiting at the end. We will not spoil it here, so the only way to find out is to play it through.
