About Blue Space

Blue Space is a first-person liminal space game set inside what feels like a dream. You wander through rows of oddly placed houses under an endless blue sky, and nobody tells you where to go.

There's no rush and no enemy list. You move at your own pace, and the glowing orbs scattered around are the thing to look for: collecting them is how you find a way out. The look borrows from dreamcore and old retro 3D, so the world feels like a half-remembered place from a long time ago.

A visit takes roughly 5 to 15 minutes, depending on how long you stop and stare. You can play Blue Space online right here with no download, and Blue Space free in a tab is an easy way to try a quiet, strange walk.

How to Play Blue Space

  • Click inside the game window first, then try the keyboard and mouse to look around and walk.
  • Head out through the houses and take in the sky.
  • Look for the glowing orbs scattered around the world.
  • Collect the orbs to find a way out.
  • Take your time.

What to Expect in Blue Space

The mood is calm and a little off. Houses sit in places they have no reason to be, and the sky stays the same endless blue. It was not built as a horror game, but it can feel unsettling, especially with sound on and the lights down.

Nothing here fights back, and nothing keeps score. If you like liminal spaces and dreamcore, you can drift through at a slow pace and enjoy the strangeness. If you need goals and action, this may feel empty to you.

Tips for Blue Space

  • Walk slowly. The houses are the main scenery, and rushing past them misses the odd details.
  • Look in every direction, including up. The glowing orbs can be easy to overlook against a big sky.
  • Wear headphones if you can. The atmosphere is half of the experience.
  • do not try to solve it quickly. A slow wander is the intended pace.
  • Play it alone for a first run, then show a friend who likes odd places.

Who Made Blue Space

Blue Space was made by SeaSpider and released on itch.io. It was built in Unity, with an in-browser version added after the first release. FunClicker embeds the creator's own version so you can play it here without downloading anything. We did not make the game, and the credit for its design, code, and art belongs to its creator. You can find the original on the Blue Space page on itch.io.

FAQ

Is Blue Space free?

It's free. Blue Space loads right here in your browser, so there's nothing to download.

How do you play Blue Space?

Click inside the game window, then use the keyboard and mouse to look around and walk. Head for the glowing orbs and collect them to find a way out of Blue Space. Go as slowly as you like.

Is Blue Space scary?

Not really, though it can feel unsettling. Blue Space is dreamlike, with odd houses and an endless blue sky, and the strangeness is the point. If eerie, empty places bother you, know that going in.

Who made Blue Space?

SeaSpider is the creator of Blue Space. We play the original itch.io build here and credit it on this page.

Can I play Blue Space on a Chromebook or phone?

A computer with a keyboard and mouse is the safest choice, since you need to walk and look around. A phone or tablet may not give you good control, so Blue Space is best on a Chromebook or laptop.

Is Blue Space unblocked at school?

If your school's filter allows FunClicker, Blue Space unblocked runs right in the tab. Filters differ from one network to the next, so it's worth a quick try.

How long does Blue Space take?

Expect somewhere between 5 and 15 minutes. It depends on how long you linger around the houses and how quickly you find the orbs. Blue Space is a short trip rather than a long adventure, so it fits in one sitting.

What are the glowing orbs in Blue Space?

Those are what you hunt for. Collecting the glowing orbs scattered around Blue Space is how you find a way out of the dreamlike world, so keep your eyes open and look in every direction, including up at the sky.
