About Serenitrove

Serenitrove is a cozy digging game in pixel art, where you play a little digger with claws or pickaxes who wants to see what's hiding underground.

You dig down for ore, buried treasure and strange oddities. Nothing has a timer and nothing attacks you. The loop is dig, discover, repeat, and structures like a furnace turn what you find into progress. It's built for playing a little at a time, with progress adding up over many sessions.

A full playthrough can run for days, but you can drop in for five minutes or a whole evening. You can play Serenitrove online here, and it's Serenitrove free to play. It saves in your browser automatically.

How to Play Serenitrove

  • Move with the arrow keys, or A, S and D.
  • Use the mouse for structures and menus.
  • Dig for ores, treasures and odd items.
  • Load fuel and ore into the furnace. The plus button loads the largest amount possible at once.
  • Keep digging and come back whenever you like.
  • Export your save every so often and keep the text in a notes app or a file.

What to Expect in Serenitrove

Serenitrove is about calm progress. Nothing chases you and nothing punishes you. You dig a bit, find something, and use it to dig a bit better, which is the satisfying cycle digging and incremental games rely on.

Visit a few minutes at a time. The longer you stay with it across sessions, the more layers you reach, and with no failure state, curiosity sets the pace.

One practical thing: the game autosaves, but clearing your browser cache wipes the data. There's an export option, so back up your save now and then and keep the text somewhere safe.

Tips for Serenitrove

  • Use the export option to back up your save every so often.
  • Skip wiping your browser data until you have exported your save.
  • Use the plus button on the furnace to load as much as possible in one click.
  • Play in short bursts and enjoy the small gains instead of rushing.
  • Dig sideways as well as down, since there's always another layer to uncover.

Who Made Serenitrove

Serenitrove was made by Scoot and released on itch.io. The art and sound were made with Aseprite, Audacity and FL Studio. FunClicker embeds the creator's own version so you can play it here without downloading anything. We did not make the game, and the credit for its design, code, and art belongs to its creator. You can find the original on the Serenitrove page on itch.io.

FAQ

Is Serenitrove free?

Yes. Play Serenitrove as often as you like at no cost.

How do you play Serenitrove?

Move with the arrow keys and use the mouse to work with structures and menus. You dig for ores and treasures, and the plus button loads the most fuel or ore the furnace can take. There's no timer and no combat.

What is the goal in Serenitrove?

Dig, discover, repeat. There's no time limit and there are no enemies, so the aim is steady progress: uncovering new layers, ores and treasures over many short sessions, at whatever pace suits you.

Who made Serenitrove?

Scoot is the creator of Serenitrove. We play the original itch.io build here and credit it on this page.

How do I save my progress in Serenitrove?

The game autosaves, but clearing your browser cache would wipe the data. Use the export option now and then and keep the result in a notes app or a file, and you'll have a backup to bring back.

Can I play Serenitrove on a Chromebook or phone?

You move with the keyboard and use the mouse for menus, so a Chromebook or laptop is the best fit. A phone may not give you the same ease of play, since the controls are built around keys and a pointer.

Is Serenitrove unblocked at school?

If your school's filter allows FunClicker, Serenitrove unblocked runs right in the tab. Filters differ from one network to the next, so it's worth a quick try.

How long does Serenitrove take to play?

Days or more, because progress builds across many sessions. There's no time limit, so you set the pace, and a long game does not mean long sittings. A visit can be five minutes or an entire evening, and autosave keeps your place unless you wipe your browser data.
