About KittyToy

KittyToy is a cozy virtual pet game about looking after stray cats. Leave out food and toys, and cats wander in to eat, play and visit. The happier a cat is when it leaves, the more kittycoins it leaves behind.

Spend those coins on more toys and decorations for your house and yard, which brings in more cats. When one wins you over, put a collar on it and it stays for good.

You can play KittyToy online for free in your browser. It's played entirely with the mouse.

How to Play KittyToy

  • Leave food out so strays come by.
  • Carry food or water to a bowl to top it up.
  • Drag the ball back and let go to throw it.
  • Press and hold on a cat to read about it.
  • Click the gate when you want no more visitors.

What to Expect in KittyToy

KittyToy is a low-pressure sandbox. Nothing chases you and nothing ends the game. You set up the yard, see who shows up and slowly build a home that cats like.

Adopting a cat is a quiet milestone, since adopted cats never leave. It's inspired by the mobile app Neko Atsume and the old desktop toy Neko.

Tips for KittyToy

  • Fill the bowls first. Food is what brings strays in.
  • Add toys as you earn kittycoins, since more toys mean more cats.
  • Check a cat's info before you adopt it.
  • Adopted cats never leave, so choose with care.
  • Use the gate when you want a quieter yard.
