About Pack

Pack is a cozy pixel-art packing puzzle game about leaving on a trip. You have a pile of belongings and one suitcase, and everything has to fit. Along the way you drag things around, open containers and tuck smaller items inside bigger ones.

It's short and not particularly hard, and most people will finish in about 15 minutes. One person made all of it in 48 hours for Ludum Dare 57, using Python and pygame. The scope is small and the idea is clear, which is what a good jam game does.

You can play Pack online in your browser with nothing to install, and Pack free is all it costs. A packing puzzle game like this works well for a short, calm break.

How to Play Pack

  • Left-click and drag an item to move it around.
  • Right-click a container to open or close it.
  • Right-click an item inside another item to pull it out.
  • Fit everything into the suitcase.
  • Avoid pressing F4 in the browser. It crashes the game.

What to Expect in Pack

It's a quiet little puzzle with a friendly mood. Nobody is rushing you, nothing punishes a wrong try, and the pixel-art objects are pleasant to push around. The challenge is spatial: seeing how things will nest before you drop them.

Containers are the interesting part. Opening one, or pulling an item out of another, changes what space you have to work with. Short and easy keeps it relaxing, and the whole thing fits inside a coffee break.

Tips for Pack

  • Put the biggest things in first and fill the gaps with smaller ones.
  • Open every container before you decide what goes where. Some items can sit inside others.
  • Right-click an item inside another item to pull it back out if you change your mind.
  • Do not press F4 in the browser, because it crashes the game.
  • Take your time. There's no rush.

FAQ

Is Pack free?

Yes, Pack costs nothing. It runs on this page, so you can start right away.

How do you play Pack?

Left-click and drag to move an item. Right-click a container to open or close it, or right-click an item inside another item to pull it out. Fit everything into the suitcase to finish. Avoid F4, which crashes the browser build.

How long does Pack take to finish?

Most people finish in about 15 minutes. It's a short game and not particularly hard, so it fits into a single quick sitting.

What is the goal in Pack?

You're leaving on a trip, and the goal is to pack all your items into a suitcase. Everything has to fit, so it comes down to arranging objects and using containers to save space.

Who made Pack?

That's plasmastarfish. Pack came out on itch.io, and we link back to it from this page.

Can I play Pack on a Chromebook or phone?

A mouse or trackpad is the best fit, because you drag with the left button and use the right button to open containers. A laptop or Chromebook works well. A phone may not give you a right-click.

Is Pack unblocked at school?

Try it and see. Pack unblocked loads in the browser with nothing to install, but each school sets its own filters.

Why should I avoid F4 in Pack?

F4 toggles fullscreen in the desktop version of the game, but in the browser it crashes the game. Leave it alone here, and use your browser's own fullscreen option if you want a bigger view.
