About Deviled Dice

Deviled Dice is a demo of a dice roguelite. It takes the classic game Yacht and adds a modern push-your-luck twist. A cursed board game drags you into a duel with the devil, and your soul is the prize.

Each round you try to beat his score, and each round he answers by cheating: he raises the target or bends the rules. You cheat back with forbidden relics that break the game in your favor, and you reshape your score sheet to push your luck further on every run.

You can play Deviled Dice online for free in your browser. It's a demo, so it shows part of a bigger idea.

How to Play Deviled Dice

  • Roll the dice, as in Yacht.
  • Place your dice on the score sheet.
  • Pick up relics that bend the rules.
  • Customize your score sheet between runs.
  • Beat the devil's score to win the round.

What to Expect in Deviled Dice

A run takes about a half-hour. The art is a mid-century cartoon style with plenty of animation, and the tone is mischievous, not scary.

If you know Yacht, you already know the dice side. The new part is how far you can bend it before the devil bends it further.

Tips for Deviled Dice

  • Think about where each roll goes on the score sheet before you commit it.
  • Chase relics that work together. The game is built around combos.
  • Reshape the score sheet to match your relics.
  • Do not chase every big roll. Steady scores add up.
  • Use the demo to try a few different builds.

FAQ

Is Deviled Dice free?

Yes. You can play Deviled Dice in your browser for free, and there's no account to make.

How do you play Deviled Dice?

You roll dice and score them on a sheet, as in Yacht, then try to beat the devil's score each round. He cheats by raising the score or twisting the rules, and you cheat back with relics. Follow the on-screen prompts to learn the details.

What is the goal in Deviled Dice?

Win the duel with the devil and keep your soul. You do that by outscoring him round after round, using forbidden relics and a customized score sheet to push your luck a little further each run.

Who made Deviled Dice?

Deviled Dice comes from Juicy Beast, who published it on itch.io. We embed that build and link to the original.

Is Deviled Dice a full game?

No. It's a demo, a first look at what happens when Yacht meets the roguelite. Expect part of a bigger idea rather than a finished campaign, with a run lasting about a half-hour from the first roll to the last.

Can I play Deviled Dice on a Chromebook or phone?

Click inside the game window first, then try the mouse. A Chromebook or laptop is the safest choice for a dice and score sheet game, because the screen is large enough to read every number. A phone may work, but test it first, since a game with a big score sheet depends on seeing everything clearly.

Is Deviled Dice unblocked at school?

It might be. Deviled Dice unblocked needs only a browser tab, and whether that tab opens is up to your school's filter.

Is Deviled Dice like Yacht?

It starts from Yacht, a classic dice game, and layers a roguelite on top. You still roll and score dice, but you also use relics, edit your score sheet and face a devil who cheats to raise the target.
