About KILLOVER
KILLOVER is a stylish third-person shooter built on a loop. Kill all of your previous lives and the round starts over. Every earlier version of you comes back as a target, and being shot by them or touching them is instant death.
The aim is to clear the floor fast. Speed pushes your score up, and an online leaderboard rewards the best runs. It started life as an entry for the Game Maker's Toolkit Jam, so it's compact and built for quick restarts.
You can play KILLOVER online in a browser tab. A run takes a few minutes, which is the right size for a score chase.
How to Play KILLOVER
- Move with WASD, or ZQSD if you're on an AZERTY keyboard.
- Hold right click or Shift to aim, and press left click to shoot.
- Press Space to jump.
- Right click also throws the sword.
- Press P to pause. The fullscreen button sits at the bottom right of the game window.
- Kill every previous life without getting shot or touched, then go again.
What to Expect in KILLOVER
The loop is the idea. Each time you clear the previous lives, you face them again, so the game keeps asking you to outplay yourself. Pace matters, because a fast clear scores higher, but a rushed shot can leave you exposed.
The look is stylish: 3D, third-person and polished for a jam game. You have a gun for most of the work and a thrown sword when things get close, so the controls take a moment to learn.
If you like short shooters with a clever hook, KILLOVER free in the browser is easy to learn and hard to put down. The leaderboard is the reason to come back.
Tips for KILLOVER
- Learn the aim button first. Hold right click or Shift before you fire.
- Do not touch your past lives. Contact is as deadly as a bullet.
- Remember the sword. Right click throws it.
- Balance speed and safety. A fast clear scores well, but dying ends the run.
- Use P to pause and check your next move if the screen gets crowded.
Who Made KILLOVER
KILLOVER was made by Quentin Delvallet and released on itch.io. It was made in Godot, using assets from Kenney, poly.pizza, Vitalezzz and Kevin Iglesias. FunClicker embeds the creator's own version so you can play it here without downloading anything. We did not make the game, and the credit for its design, code, and art belongs to its creator. You can find the original on the KILLOVER page on itch.io.
FAQ
Is KILLOVER free?
KILLOVER is free. Press Play above and you're in.
How do you play KILLOVER?
Move with WASD, or ZQSD on an AZERTY keyboard. Hold right click or Shift to aim, fire with left click and jump with Space. Right click also throws the sword, and P pauses. A fullscreen button sits at the bottom right.
What is the goal of KILLOVER?
Kill all of your previous lives, which starts a new loop, while avoiding their shots and not touching them. The goal is to clean the floor fast to score high and climb the online leaderboard.
How does the loop work in KILLOVER?
When you kill all your previous lives, the round loops and they return as enemies. Being shot by them or touching them is fatal. So every loop is a fresh fight against the earlier versions of you.
Who made KILLOVER?
That's Quentin Delvallet. KILLOVER came out on itch.io, and we link back to it from this page.
Can I play KILLOVER on a Chromebook or phone?
A Chromebook or laptop with a mouse is the right fit, because the controls use WASD or ZQSD, mouse buttons, Space and P. A phone is not a good match for a shooter that needs both hands.
Is KILLOVER unblocked at school?
Try it and see. KILLOVER unblocked loads in the browser with nothing to install, but each school sets its own filters.
Does KILLOVER work with an AZERTY keyboard?
Yes. ZQSD takes the place of WASD on an AZERTY keyboard. The other controls stay the same, so you can aim, shoot, jump and throw the sword as usual on a French-style layout without remapping anything.
