About Dungeon Parkour

Dungeon Parkour is a puzzle game about moving through a dungeon the way a free runner would. You climb walls, leap across gaps, dodge traps and pick up items that help you get further. Each level is a small problem about how to get from here to there in one piece.

It's built in PuzzleScript, so it has the clean, grid-based look that engine is known for. It started as an entry for Thinky Game Jam 4 and has seen little testing, which means a level may occasionally act strangely.

You can play Dungeon Parkour online in a browser tab. The pieces are simple and the thinking is the hard part.

How to Play Dungeon Parkour

  • Click inside the game window first, then try the keyboard and mouse to see how your character moves.
  • Look over the whole level before your first move and find where the traps are.
  • Climb and leap to cross gaps and reach higher ground.
  • Pick up the items you pass, since they help with later obstacles.
  • If you get stuck, start the level over and try a different route.

What to Expect in Dungeon Parkour

Expect a compact puzzle game, not a big adventure. There's no story to follow and no long levels. You get a dungeon, a handful of movement tricks and a lot of small decisions.

The challenge is thinking a few moves ahead. A jump you take now can leave you stuck two moves later, so slow, careful play beats rushing. Mistakes cost you a restart, not a lost evening.

Because it's a jam game that has seen little testing, treat it as a friendly experiment. If one level seems to break, try it again, since a stubborn puzzle may just be a bug. Dungeon Parkour free in the browser suits a short, quiet break.

Tips for Dungeon Parkour

  • Scan the whole level before moving. Traps are easier to avoid when you've seen them all.
  • Plan your route backward from the exit.
  • Pick up every item you can reach, as long as it does not cost you your route.
  • Restart without guilt. A fresh start is often faster than untangling a bad position.
  • If a level seems impossible, check whether it's a real puzzle or just rough edges, then move on and come back.

FAQ

Is Dungeon Parkour free?

It's free. Dungeon Parkour loads right here in your browser, so there's nothing to download.

How do you play Dungeon Parkour?

Click inside the game window, then use the keyboard and mouse to move. Climb walls, leap gaps, avoid traps and collect items on the way to the exit. If a route goes wrong, restart the level and try another approach.

What is the goal of Dungeon Parkour?

Get through each level of the dungeon without falling foul of the traps. You do that by climbing, leaping and collecting the items that help along the way. Plan ahead, because a single bad jump can leave you stuck.

What is PuzzleScript?

PuzzleScript is an open puzzle-game engine that runs in a browser, known for tidy grid-based games. Dungeon Parkour uses it, which is why the levels look clean and the rules are easy to read at a glance.

Who made Dungeon Parkour?

Dom Camus is the creator of Dungeon Parkour. We play the original itch.io build here and credit it on this page.

Can I play Dungeon Parkour on a Chromebook or phone?

A Chromebook or laptop with a keyboard works best. The game runs in a browser, but a puzzle game like this is far easier with real keys than with a touchscreen, so use a computer if you can.

Is Dungeon Parkour unblocked at school?

It might be. Dungeon Parkour unblocked needs only a browser tab, and whether that tab opens is up to your school's filter.

Is Dungeon Parkour finished?

It's a game jam entry that has seen little testing, so a level may behave strangely now and then. Most of it should work fine, and a stubborn level is worth a restart before you give up on it.
