About Just Another Pong
Just Another Pong is exactly what it says, a Pong game with a few friendly touches. Two paddles, one ball, and the first player to score five points wins. You can play against the computer or against a friend at the same screen.
The paddles move with W and S on the left, and Up and Down on the right. On a touchscreen you tap the upper or lower quarter of your side to move your paddle, which makes it one of the few Pong games that works well on a phone. Controllers work too. Esc or Backspace goes back or pauses, and P pauses and resumes.
It was built as a personal exercise rather than anything fancy, and it shows in how tidy it feels. You can play Just Another Pong online here with nothing to install, and Just Another Pong free means no account either. A match takes a few minutes.
How to Play Just Another Pong
- Pick a game against the computer or against a friend.
- On the left side, move your paddle with W and S, or tap the upper or lower quarter of the screen.
- On the right side, use the Up and Down arrows, or tap the upper or lower quarter on that side.
- Press P to pause and resume, and Esc or Backspace to go back.
- Be the first to reach five points.
What to Expect in Just Another Pong
It's classic Pong, kept simple. The pixel art is clean, rallies are fast, and nothing gets in the way of the ball. If you know Pong, you already know this.
Matches are short, so it's easy to play one and then pass the keyboard for a rematch. Against the computer it works as a quick warm-up, and with two people it turns into a proper rivalry fast. Touch support is the surprise, since it lets you play on a tablet or phone.
Tips for Just Another Pong
- Watch the ball, not your paddle. Get there early and wait for it.
- Drift back toward the middle between shots so you can reach either corner.
- Against a friend, agree who takes the keyboard sides before you start.
- Try a touchscreen match with a friend, one thumb on each side.
- Use P to pause if someone needs a break instead of quitting.
