About BaseBrawl

BaseBrawl is a first-person baseball beat em up with pixel-art graphics. You swing at things, and the point is to post the best score you can before the run ends. It started life in a seven-day FPS jam, and it feels like an idea that was allowed to stay small.

Start with the tutorial. It covers the controls and the rules, and that's where the game explains itself. A mouse is the best way to play. Press R at any point to restart, which makes it easy to throw away a bad run and go again.

The browser build can run rough, so a desktop computer is the better bet here. If it works for you, you can play BaseBrawl online without downloading anything, and BaseBrawl free is the price. Runs can also be submitted to Speedrun.com.

How to Play BaseBrawl

  • Click the game window to give it focus, then play the tutorial first.
  • Use a mouse for aiming and swinging. It's by far the best fit.
  • Follow the tutorial to learn the controls and how scoring works.
  • Press R any time to restart a run.
  • Move on to the main game and try to beat your own best score.

What to Expect in BaseBrawl

The pairing is the hook: a first-person camera, a baseball theme and chunky pixel art. Swings are direct and the pace is quick, so a run does not wander. It plays like a small arcade cabinet that happens to be about baseball.

Everything is built around retrying. R restarts at once, runs are short, and your score is the only thing you're chasing. If you like beating your own number, you'll keep coming back. If you want a story or a campaign, this is not that. Music and sound effects come from Pixabay, with different tracks for the tutorial and the main game.

Tips for BaseBrawl

  • Do the tutorial before anything else. Controls and rules are explained there.
  • Use a mouse. Trying to play this on a trackpad makes aiming harder than it needs to be.
  • Restart with R the moment a run goes badly rather than playing it out.
  • If it stutters in the browser, try another browser or a different computer.
  • Treat every run as an attempt to beat your previous score.

Who Made BaseBrawl

BaseBrawl was made by Bad Piggy and released on itch.io. It was built in Unity for a seven-day FPS jam. Music and sound effects are from Pixabay. FunClicker embeds the creator's own version so you can play it here without downloading anything. We did not make the game, and the credit for its design, code, and art belongs to its creator. You can find the original on the BaseBrawl page on itch.io.

FAQ

Is BaseBrawl free?

Yes. Play BaseBrawl as often as you like at no cost.

How do you play BaseBrawl?

Play the tutorial first, because the controls and the rules are explained there. A mouse works best for aiming and swinging. You can press R at any time to restart a run, which is handy for score attack attempts and for dropping a run that has gone wrong.

What is the goal in BaseBrawl?

Score as high as you can. BaseBrawl is a first-person baseball brawler built around score attack, so every run is an attempt to beat your last one. Runs can be submitted to Speedrun.com if you want to compare with other players.

Why does BaseBrawl run badly in the browser?

The browser build can have problems, and a Windows version exists that runs better. Browser performance depends on your computer, so a desktop with a recent browser gives the best chance of a smooth run. Closing other tabs can help a little.

Who made BaseBrawl?

BaseBrawl was made by Bad Piggy. We embed the original itch.io build, and there's a link back to it on this page.

Can I play BaseBrawl on a Chromebook or phone?

A computer with a mouse works best, because aiming and swinging in first person is awkward with anything else. A Chromebook with a mouse is a fair choice. A phone is a poor fit for the controls and the heavier browser build.

Is BaseBrawl unblocked at school?

BaseBrawl unblocked depends on your network. It runs in a normal browser tab, so if this page opens, the game should too.

Is BaseBrawl a jam game?

Yes. It was made for a seven-day first-person shooter jam, which explains the small scope, the arcade feel and the focus on short score attack runs instead of a long campaign. That tight scope is a big part of why it plays so cleanly.
